    Informative Site, Awesome Rangers!
If you're visiting Salem, this is a stop you should make! While it takes you out of the witch trials realm, the initial building you see when you park is very similar to the "Witch House" in Salem, given the architecture style of the time. Huge disclaimer, the site is open on a very limited basis due to Covid. What gave this site such a strong rating for me was the rangers on site. They're "roaming" rangers, so there are a few that walk the grounds to answer questions. I would call ahead to see if any events are going on the day you plan on visiting, because there are some blacksmithing demonstrations that occur during this. Otherwise, they show you how iron was made and how the tools impacted every day life in early colonial America. Its a really fun site to visit, I'm sure kids would really enjoy it once its back up and running in its entirety. Its tucked away in a small town, we didn't see too many restaurants on our way in so pack snacks. The site is much larger than it looks, and there is some construction going on so be prepared to walk a bit.

    Great tour, full of history
I took the tour and was highly impressed with the amount of information and history strewn throughout the tour and the location. Great for adults or kids. The iron mill was my favorite part but being able to explore the property after the tour was just as wonderful!
