Great way to spend the afternoon.
What a great tour Samual Adams offer. The chance to see and find out about the history of the Samual Adams brewery. The basic tour only cost $10 each and for that you get a full understanding of brewery, a glass of beer while your guide tell you the history and plenty interesting facts. Our guide Sarah was excellent. Once the first part is over your then get to taste some more beers where you’re guide will explain how judges rate beers for competitions. It was a great way to spend an hour or so and then head off into the Tap Room to try the rest of the products.

Fun time, but not what we expected!
We went to the Sam Adams brewery for what we thought was a tour. We have been on many other brewery tours so we expected the same type of experience. However, this experience should more be labeled an information session and beer tasting. You get at least 3 pours of 3 different beers included in the "tour". You first enter the brewing room where the guide gave you your first tasting and gave you some history on beer and some information on how Samuel Adams brewery does their brewing (which most of it happens in Cincinnati). Our guide was full of energy and funny so she made things very interesting. We then went to a separate room with three long tables where we all sat. There we got 2 more pours, one of which was a new beer that was in the research and development phase. The guide also showed us how to properly taste our beer using 4 out of the 5 senses. We were lucky to be sitting with a very fun group, so it made our hour "tour" very fun! Afterwards we went into their bar area and enjoyed some more beers. The bartenders were very friendly and answered all of our questions and allowed us to sample some of the beers before ordering. They also have a really pretty outdoor area to sit in if you wish and a small variety of food to order. While it wasn't the time we expected, we still enjoyed the experience......and of course the beer!!
