Salt Marsh Antiques, Massachusetts, United States

Antique Wonderland

I absolutely love this place and can spend hours lost looking at the thousands of curiosities. I’ve purchased several pieces of furniture here as well as numerous tchotchkes and pieces of art. The owner Bobby is very knowledgeable and friendly, and it’s worth a visit just to chew the fat with him. If you are in the area, definitely swing by and check it out.

    Three Floors of Antiques
This is a big place, with 3 floors of antiques… has a little bit of everything. Could spend a lot of time looking at all their merchandise. Their prices were a bit high so we did not buy anything but it was worth checking out.

Lots of Interesting Stuff, Nice Proprietors, Rather Pricey
We have been here two or three times and never found quite what we were looking for or what we both collect. Salt Marsh has quite a bit of furniture, items from the Victorian era, college ephemera from the 1920s, and old paintings and artwork. We enjoy browsing the three floors, but we never find the type of dinnerware my companion collects, nor any vintage photo albums or ledgers, nor any collectible license plates from the early years. What they do have tends to be priced higher than other antique shops in the area. This store may appeal to somebody looking for furnishings to create the 19th century look in their vacation home. But if your interest is in collectibles, especially 20th century vintage, you should try elsewhere.
