Quiet Reservoir, Friendly & Knowledgeable Guide
Dave was great in scheduling (and rescheduling for weather!) our trip, and great once we were on the water. There was a talk on safety in the beginning which wasn't overbearing. We kayaked around Norton Reservoir and were free to go at our own pace. The group size was about 8 -- he introduced everyone at the beginning of the trip. Dave knows the local area very well, and he was able to share lots of information about the reservoir and town of Norton. He seems to like his job. The water is shallow, so it wasn't too cold -- it warms up quickly. Price was reasonable, $60 regularly, but look for deals. Wear sunscreen on your legs!

Great time on the water!
This was both of our (my son and I) first times in a kayak. Dave was so patient with us and made us feel so comfortable! Truly a fun and also peaceful little adventure for us!

Find some tranquility out on the Norton reservoir
Norton Kayak Co is a great place to take your first trip in a kayak or to get out on the water again. This is not a rental place. It's OK to join a scheduled tour or to arrange to go with a group of friends, people from the office... very accommodating and flexible. The Norton reservoir is a great place to get close to nature right off rt495, to do some bird watching, take a dip - it is large but fairly shallow and not a great place for motor boats so the only thing you have to look out for are the occasional fishing line and bald eagles.
