    Amazing lighthouse
Our favorite lighthouse to visit during our drive from Boston to Provincetown. There is a NPS stop on the way there so if you need to use the bathroom, definitely stop so you don’t have to back track. There was remodeling going on when we were there so there were no bathroom facilities. Looks like they will be open this summer. There was a lot of parking but this was also a weekday in March. I bet this place is packed during the summer. You can get all the way to the lighthouse which was wonderful. Lots of plaques to read about the history. Nice pathway to the beach. There is a separate pathway to the lighthouse from the parking lot through the woods or you can walk in the road. Definitely do the latter. When we got back to the car we found a tick on our dog which made us a bit paranoid about Lyme disease for us and necessitated a quick check of our skin. Fortunately there were none. Would definitely return. Enjoy.

    Visiting an Old Friend
This is must place to visit when out at the Cape. We visit at least once each time when we are on the Cape. It has become like an old friend. Easy access and a great photo opportunity is also a plus. The adjoining Nauset Beach is wonderful. You can walk all the way north to the tip of the Cape if you wanted. The soothing sound of the waves and opportunity for a good search for rocks is welcome therapy. It is truly a breath of fresh air each time we visit. Visiting the outside and grounds of the lighthouse is free. A local volunteer group is responsible for upkeep. During late Spring thru early Fall tours inside the light are available for a small charge every Sunday 1-4. The beach is part of the National Seashore, the pricing is available on the National Parks website.
