    Great tour!
My husband and I were visiting family in the area at Thanksgiving. On Friday we decided to go to a few historical sites. It was nearly the end of the day when we got to this site, but the tour guide at the Tavern welcomed us; helped my husband use the accessible lift; and gave us a thorough, lively, interesting, and wholehearted tour of the building. A great experience!

History alive and kicking in Lexington Revolutionary Era Tavern :)
Remember that feeling as a kid, when you had your imagination switched to full throttle, when something from history is brought to life by a truly great story-teller......well i have that.....just now....... after visiting Munroe Tavern. This feeling, so rare in later years, as you learn to question what you hear. Being a history graduate makes that feeling of being "transported in time" even rarer as you look more critically at everything...... Thats why I am in awe of the depth of knowledge, my tour guide, John Dennis, on this occasion, had. Every question was answered with a wealth of primary source knowledge woven into colourful tales.
