You can go home again!

So good to be home! We have just returned from 20 years in Southern Maine and are again living in South Deerfield, MA. I was a regular at the Bookmill when we lived in the area before and made a trip over last week as a welcome home! gift to myself. As always, I came away with an armful of books from a variety of genres and will make many return trips to replenish my reading supply. Now that I have retired from teaching, I plan on enjoying many hours of reading on my Front Porch. The staff is always helpful and the café and art gallery in the complex makes for a rich experience. The Sawmill River cascades past the buildings and adds to the New England ambience. Fire up your GPS and make a visit soon!

    Great bookstore
Visited again after many years and this place is jusg as I remembered. A great collection of used books in many different subject area in a truly stunning location in an old New England mill. We had two adults and two kids and everyone found multiple books they wanted.

    Quiet Lunch on a River
We stopped by for a quick lunch at the restaurant attached to the bookstore. Casual sandwich spot with good coffee. Everyone in the sunny dining room was on a laptop or reading making for an experience like lunch-in-a-library. Food was pretty good, and view of the river made for an overall good experience.
