Some of the best trout fishing around!
It used to be pretty polluted from all the factories, but in the last few years has really redeemed itself. Fantastic trout fishing (catch and release) and now open for recreational use which is really wonderful. I hope to see more and more opportunities to enjoy thee river which winds from Royalston down through to Gill. Very scenic, lots of good spots along Route 2 to park and enjoy or test out your fly fishing skills.

Nice bridge and an outstanding restaurant right next to it!
The French King Bridge is an interesting cantilever arch bridge spanning the Connecticut River. Its lighting and railings have rich architectural detail. The setting is quiet and restful. And right next door is the wonderful French King Restaurant. Some of the best food we've ever eaten at very reasonable prices! Eat and then walk it off!
