Mayflower Beach, Massachusetts, United States

Beautiful Mayflower Beach

This is the most pristine beach on the north side of Dennis on the Cape. Splendid sand, clear shallow water, this beach on a low tide is magnificent. The flats go forever and the sunsets take your breath away. Get there early in the morning as this year the town is limiting the number of paying parking customers.

    Beach goers paradise!
This is about as close as the Northeast gets to the Caribbean. Clear blue green water, soft sand, and a lengthy sandbar makes it a haven for sun-worshippers. But- beware: the early birds get the worm and they turn people away when full. With Covid and limited parking, get there early and get ready to pay! If you see a line, they only allow 6 cars and the 7th is sent packing in the middle of the road! Although, as ppl leave throughout the day they allow cars in. There’s normally lifeguards one duty and there’s a snack shack and restrooms also. One of the nicest beaches I’ve ever been to and undoubtedly the best at the Cape.

    Great beach for the family
Great beach. Most of the day is low tide so kids can walk far in ankle-knee high water. Going early, pre-8am during peak season helps. The $30 fee was fair. Good facilities and good food stall. Super organized during entry, you get a tag to put on your rearview mirror, lots of people giving directions clearly as to where to park. Short walk from parking past the dunes to get to the beach. Sand was soft, barely any rocks. Lots of periwinkle snails and little hermit crabs. Water was clear for northeast waters.
