Quiet and peaceful
The Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery is a lovely place to honor the nation's finest. It is a well kept and maintained veteran's cemetery. It is extremely easy to find using the address provided by Trip Advisor. There are several benches located around the property to take everything in and have a rest. There are also a few walking paths/trails. It is a nice time right now for a visit to witness all the beautiful New England leaves changing colors.

Final Resting Place
I am a Viet Nam veteran looking for a final resting place. Though, being a resident of Falmouth, Massachusetts with the Cape Cod National Cemetery very nearby, the Agawam Cemetery is currently my preferred final resting site. Peace and quiet...........is my primary reason for this choice. The Cape Cod National Cemetery has flat grave markers to facilitate mowing. It also has an operating wind turbine the likes of which I totally detest. I attended a funeral service there where that turbine started up during the middle of the service. Totally distressing to me. Over seven years of my life were spent fighting the two Falmouth municipal wind turbines improperly sited 1500 feet from the back of my home. I could not stand to live there so fought them and finally the courts ordered them shut down in 2017 due to nuisance. So NO WAY will I be interred at a cemetery that has allowed a wind turbine to be sited there. Agawam appears perfect to me. Very soon I will visit here and make my final decision. At 76 years old, ptsd ridden, I will attempt to impress upon my family why I chose this cemetery.

A Serene & Beautiful Place
When my Mom passed away in 2006, it was a no-brainer that she be buried here. In the 13 years since, the cemetery has, of course, expanded. It's always well-maintained and a joy to visit. The respect shown for our departed loved ones & heroes really shows. Even if you don't have family or friends there, it's a pleasant place to go for a walk in nice weather.
