A magical experience

A magical experience. I surprised my extended family by renting out the theater one night, and they can't stop talking about it. The space is great, the price was very reasonable, and the owner is friendly. I think they started renting the theater to stay in business during Covid, but I hope they continue doing it.

    Best downtown cinema
The Lexington Venue is a small theater in Lexington Center that offers only quality films in two screens, one upstairs, one street floor. We often attend without researching what is playing because there are always two highly reviewed possibilites. There is ample parking close by, much of it free in the evening. In several decades, we have never had a parking problem. Handicapped possibilites abound, including simple drop of in front of the theater. Concessions are generally uncrowded with fresh popped popocorn and even a selection of hot beverages all at a fair price and refills. The best part is the friendly and courteous ticketing and counter help that is especially welcoming. The owner is often on site to greet all customers and then later to wish all a good evening. Super clean and comfortable seating. A treat when compared to large complexes. Our favorite place to see a movie.

A Delighful, Old Style Movie Theater
This is always my first choice for seeing a movie. No, it doesn't have reclining seats or 3D projection. What it DOES have is good movies, including many independent films; fresh-popped popcorn, friendly staff, an engaging manager & reasonable ticket prices. I love the feel of the place - reminds me of small local movie houses before the huge multi-screens that show all the same menu of movies. I travel 40 minutes to meet friends who also love seeing movies at the Venue. Parking spaces are sometimes available on adjacent streets, but always available at the town lot across the street.
