    Start of the Revolution
I came out here on a beautiful fall day to visit the sights. I took the train and bus out from Boston and got here early before the Visitors Center opened for my trolley tour. Got a nice chance for a leisurely walk around the Green where the first shots of the American Revolution were fired. They have the Minuteman statue along with a couple of other signs and monuments as you walk around the green.

A very important place in American history
I visited Lexington Green three times doing my trip to Massachusetts in April 2022. It is a very historical place and very interesting. There is a lot to see while you walk around Lexington Green. The new Visitors Center, the Buckman Tavern, the statue of Jon Parker, the Belfry, churches, monuments, historic markets, the large American flag which flies 24 x 7 by order of the US Congress. You can get a brochure on a self-guided walking tour at the visitors center. Lexington is a really nice place and I enjoyed my visit. You can park your car for free near the Buckman Tavern for two hours or you can put money in a parking meter and park in town.
