Awesome Lake to walk around! Blows away Horn Pond

I'm surprised this Lake doesn't have more reviews. It's way better than the one in Woburn. For starters, it's way less buggy during the warm months. Two, it's bigger. Three, there are places to stop and eat along the way. Horn Pond? Nada. Indeed, Fred's Franks (best hot dogs in MASS) and the Gingerbread house! Goood stuff! So if you're visiting the area, make sure to check out this wonderful lake.

    Wonderful Lake, Great Sunsets
    This lake and adjoining park is beautiful. People use and enjoy it every day. You feel a sense of community and small town America when at this lake. People walk or jog around the lake. They picnic, play volleyball, walk their dog, sit and enjoy the day, and the kids play at the playground. The sun sets over the lake. There is plenty of parking and a gazebo. It's a short walk into the center of Wakefield with restaurants, the Beebe Library, post office, and stores. The two downsides are that there aren't enough park benches and you can't swim in the lake. Non-motorized boats are allowed.

    A Rare Gem in this area
    Lake Q. as a publicly accessible lake in this area is very unusual. That is confirmed by the streams of walkers that circulate around it's circumference. There are paddle boat rentals, two kids play structures and public parks are either end and a roadway on the east shore that makes this body of water an accessible recreational gem. With in multiple old cemeteries, a ball field, and awesome sunsets, Lake Q. is unique spot to get away from the suburban sprawl.
