Kayaking

This was my first trip here. A great spot for a little fresh water beach time, especially for families with small children. But we were here to Kayak, and it is a good spot for leisurely lake kayaking, and up the powwow river. No admission/parking fee and easy put in at end of beach area. Entrance is off High St, and is easy to miss. Do not follow google gps, as it takes you to a dead end street with NO access

    Decent little lake.
Beach is clean and you dont smell like a pond when you get out of it. Plenty of trash barrels and a bathroom. I havnt yet experienced the life guards i guess after 4pm you're in the clear. Cool little spot to bring a small grill, ive never been bothered here or felt "un safe" as another review has. Also the fishing is pretty good and there are trails to walk on the outskirts of the lake.

Great place to kayak or paddleboard!
This lovely lake is shallow, does not allow powerboats, so kayaking and paddle boarding is great because the water is not chopped up by the boats. The lake has a protected cove which is great for paddle practice. The lake also has a small sandy beach that is great for kids. Dogs are prohibited during the summer, which is a very good thing, keeping the beach and water cleaner.
