Relaxing and Educational Arboretum
Nature lovers and conservationists, visit this quiet Arboretum featuring Harlan P. Kelsey's signature "Hardy American Trees, Shrubs & Plants, set in his original "1929 Show Garden", the last parcel of his 500 acre Kelsey Highlands Nursery to be preserved and maintained. Walking leisurely thru the arboretum, unusual plantings are well signed, and when in bloom, rhododendrons, azaleas and other flowering shrubs produce an awesome sight ad pleasant aroma! Great place for families, seniors and those connecting to local rail trail. Picnic area & benches are a nice addition.
