Hingham Bathing Beach, Massachusetts, United States

3.5 (23 reviews) Spent Ranking #9 in Hingham Beaches

It has great views of worlds end across the harbor and is a harbor beach so there is little wave action.

The water is usually a little warmer than the ocean because it is a harbor beach. The only draw back is that unless you are a sun worshiper you have to plan your time there on the tides. If you want to swim there it is a lot nicer at high tide. The sand is nice and is fairly well kept

Convenient, quiet, and pleasant, but not good at low tide
I go here all the time since it's easy access, visually pleasant and laid back. No crazy crowds like on Nantasket. However, at low tide, not as nice if you like to go in the water. you will get stuck in mud up to your knees and likely get cuts on your feet since the water lowers by up to 8 feet in the harbor. You can't even take a paddleboard or kayak out at low tide since it's so low. Other than that, it's great!

    Not for swimming...
The best part of the beach is that it is near the center and it offers a grassy spot for picnics and views of the harbor. But if you want a day at the beach, there are better ones in the area
