Delightful Day @ Heritage Museum & Gardens
This is a beautiful experience for any Garden Lover! Plan on spending several hours to truely experience all that there is see here. Going on a week day in mid-June made for a less crowded visit. The on site cafe was a pleasant surprise!

Stunning grounds, interesting museums, but bring your food and water.
This is a hidden gem. An oasis of tranquility with beautifully planned gardens, some wild trails, and three museum buildings that offer fun experiences; there’s even a carousel! The only disappointment and drawback is the cafe. It’s extremely overpriced for the quality, and there is minimal choice for vegetarians. The chicken wrap was acceptable. The grilled cheese was horrible; small, completely dry bread, cheese not melted for $10!! Outrageous. Water in a can for $4! For some reason, none of the water fountains are working on premise. Someone explained they had to close them during COVID… The owners of The Belfrey, a respectable establishment in Sandwich, has taken the cafe over this year. Much attention is payed to varied alcoholic offerings, rather than placing a focus on the family clientele on a daylong outing. Bring your own food and bring your own water. Otherwise enjoy splendid gardens and fascinating slices of American history.
