Fun outing for family with kids
This is a great place to spend a few hours with the kids. The Discovery Museum has great exhibits and lots of hands-on activities for kids. It has similar themes to other children's museums: water, gravity, electricity, art, music/sound, etc. Their facility is in great shape and easy to get around. All the staff we met were helpful and professional. We also greatly appreciated the mask policy (required for anyone 2 or older as of July 2021). After all, who wants to be in a building full of unvaccinated people (all children) with no masks at this point...not us, thank you very much! Price is not cheap, but right in line with other museums. We arrived in the morning, spent about 90 minutes inside, ate our own picnic lunch on a table outside and then spent another hour or so with the kids playing outside. Fun day for kids ages 6 and 8.

Great for school kids
I visited this museum by myself on a Free Fun Friday. It was fun seeing the hoards of children enjoying the various activities. It would be more fun with a child of elementary school age. This is geared to that age group and would probably be somewhat boring to older children.
