A must-see museum!
This is a must-see attraction when visiting the Berkshires area. The museum tour explains the history and fascinating process of paper making and currency making from friendly and knowledgeable staff such as Dennis. The tour is interactive and engaging. The museum gift shop offers a nice array of related products at very reasonable prices. Museum Director Jenna Ware is friendly, helpful, and ensures a pleasant experience. You’ll be very glad that you came to see this gem of a museum!

Fascinating visit!
A docent guided us on a fascinating 45-minute tour of the Crane papermaking museum, the history of the family that grew this Berkshire business, and available technologies to secure the paper currency from counterfeiting . The paper used in all US currency originates here (it is not printed here). We also watched a demonstration of manual papermaking.
