Canal Street Antique Mall, Massachusetts, United States
4.5 (26 reviews) Spent 2-3 hours Ranking #1 in Lawrence Antique Shops
Fun, Relaxed Antiques Shopping
This is the largest antiques mall I've seen, over 18,000 square feet in an old factory building, complete with creaking wooden floor boards, a great destination spot. There are two floors, accessible by stairway or elevator and restrooms are on the first floor. Free off-street parking is available on the side of the building. Items range in age from fairly recent (90's) to 150+ years old, and in size from thimbles to entire dining room sets. Each consignor is assigned a number, and they price their own pieces. I picked up an vintage cast iron cat doorstop, which didn't have a price tag, and a staff member was happy to call the seller to determine the price. Allow plenty of time to check everything out, and don't forget to look up as pieces may be hanging from the ceiling. They are open seven days a week, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Thursdays until 7 p.m. Check out their webpage and Facebook page for photos of new items.

Great place to poke through
Awesome place to look around mix of older antiques and those that people have fixed up and painted and are selling. Prices are good not too high as some antiques have become. Stop in cocos cafe over in the same building as the design center for some awesome Latin food and make an afternoon of it. They do have an elevator in the buildings and a stroller was slightly challenging to operate but doable.

Nice place to spend a few weekend hours
I'm not a serious antiquer so I can't speak to that aspect, but the selection of items for random collectors like me is very good, and the prices are reasonable. I never know what I'm looking for when I enter a place like this, but I didn't leave empty-handed. The place is quite large, with a pretty decent layout that makes it easy to move around and see everything. If time and weather allow, take a walk around the rest of the complex and see some of the amazing architecture. So happy to see these beautiful old buildings repurposed instead of being torn down.
