Awesome Ranger Talks On The Battle!
There isn't any admission to this monument as it's part of a national park, it's manned by park rangers who give free talks on the battle. I've visited other national parks where the rangers give talks and, they're consistently knowledgeable as well as outstanding. This one was equally outstanding. I really enjoyed the talk and would recommend it to anyone. FYI, there is a free museum across the street from the monument where you can learn more about the battle and, it has a diarama that is supposed to show how the battle went. I found it interesting though I enjoyed the ranger talk more.

must go the next door museum to get the full story
Walked up from the Charles River and found the monument very grand and imposing. The museum to the south of the square is fantastic and free. On two levels it give the hirtory of Charleson as well as the battle with an excelent diorama of the battle and a history of the monument.
