Do Not Miss This Natural Beauty
The Public Garden is truly beautiful in every season, with a variety of flowers and old trees (labelled with variety and planting date), as well as a water feature. The park can be very busy in fine weather. There are often street musicians playing and you can also take a short ride on the pedal-operated swan boats. Worth a stroll whenever you are in Boston.

    Family Holiday
The perfect place to sit down and rest your 'freedom trail' weary feet. Once you have been to the Granary Burial grounds head across the fence to the Public Garden. We went on the Swan boats (which was really peaceful and pleasant) and saw lots of Ducks and Geese and then once we sat down to eat our snacks my daughter made friends with so many Squirrels and birds it was like she was in a Disney film! The trees are labelled with the name of their species and the gardens were really well looked after and maintained. That evening we returned to watch an outdoor production of Shakespeare's 'The Tempest' which started just as the sun started to go down. I would recommend you take a folding deck chair if you plan to do this as the ground did get a bit cool as the night went on. As the gardens are quite central we returned another few times during our stay and enjoyed the kids splash pond and the space to move about.
