Blunt Park, Massachusetts, United States

3.5 (22 reviews) Spent Ranking #23 in Springfield Parks

To the guy that wrote the 1st comment

It's really not a bad area. It's known for a few things here and there but in reality it's not bad. That park is a great park but only for a few things. If you want to play baseball, softball, football, soccer, or even basketball then that's a good park to go to. I live 2 minutes away and nothing bad has ever happened. So once again to the 1st person who commented don't make any judgement calls unless you your self has actually lived there for more than 18 years. Thank you :)

Park cannot be responsible for groups using the park.
Despite my requests to write review of this Park, they are not recorded. The Stone Soul Festival used this park for their annual event & I report in detail the racist words & actions by 3 Black women serving food in the line. The park itself is a public space & cannot be held responsible for horrible, out-of-date, unacceptable actions of a few, however they should be chastised.

    Serves a Purpose
In a city as large and heavily populated such as Springfield, these little parks offer residents a place to go to get away from it all. The park is on a very busy street and adjacent to an Ice Arena and then a large high school, but does set back off the road. During the day many retired folks get exercise by walking around the track. There are several fields for sports and a picnic area. Many older people go there during the day to enjoy quiet nature and to read. There is nothing there for visitors to the city to see or do, but this little park functions more to service the community by providing a place to go for sports, exercise, a picnic or some solitude. I believe that a mini festival is also held there once a year. There had been some crimes there in the past, but in large cities crimes can occur anywhere.
