Beautiful historic hilltop campus of America's oldest graduate school of theology
With a beautiful campus lined with buildings dating from the 1820s, Andover Newton is a beautiful place to experience New England history and study. With a library that includes some of the oldest theology books in America, the school was the first to grant the master of divinity degree, now the standard degree required for ordination of mainline Christian pastors. The American Empire and Victorian Era buildings are beautifully maintained and the hilltop campus is especially delightful in the fall because of the amazing fall colors.

Prepare for ministry!
Andover Newton stands at the radical middle of theological school honoring what is best from both the progressive and evangelical theologies in the Protestant free-church tradition. Its unique location next door to Hebrew College affords an opportunity for interfaith learning fostered through relationships. The faculty have a passion for teaching that inspires students who come from all parts of the U.S. and globe.
