Fun and enlightening Tour
The Sagamore Spirit Distillery is open Wednesday through Sunday for guided distillery tours and rye whiskey tastings. Located in the heart of Baltimore's Port Covington neighborhood with stunning waterfront views, Sagamore Spirit also offers a full calendar of indoor and outdoor events, including cocktail classes, glass blowing, and waterfront yoga. Fun and enlightening Tour
The tour is a reasonable cost and starts in the gift shop area and the guide takes you across the courtyard and into the building where the magic happens. Our guide was very professional and knowledgable about the rye whickey makinjg process. You have to go up to a second level, but there is an elevator for anyone who cannot make it up the stairs. The last stop is the area where they fill the kegs with the whiskey, but we went on a saturday and they were done for the day. Then they take you into an area that has a large semicircular table with chairs and there are 4 or 5 shots of different varieties of rye whiskey, as well as a piece of choclate which also has rye whickey in it. We also had reservations to eat at the restaurant next door which is a smart thing to do, as unless there is a designated driver, a full stomach of food helps after the tasting.

Sunset Cruise
The sunset cruise was awesome! First you get a tasting of a bunch of Sagamore offerings. Then you are provided a Sagamore drink for the boat ride - you get to see the City skyline in the sunset. Everyone is so nice and it was a great time... and a great value!
