Going strong at 30 years
It's hard to believe that Oriole Park at Camden Yards is 30 years old. Everything is a well maintained and cheerful setting. Parking was easy. People were encouraged not to bring bags, and therefore lines for people with just wallets and phones moved quickly. The various areas for food and merchandise were well organized providing a wide variety of options. The color combination of bright green grass, red brick buildings and brilliant blue sky was appealing. Our seats were located well just beyond third base in a section shaded by the building itself. Unfortunately the seats were ideal for children, not large or tall adults. Also the sound level from the speakers was disconcerting. That said, the mixed crowd of local and away team fans clearly enjoyed themselves. The preservation of the site is laudable.

The Yard
Since covid, no backpacks allowed entering the Yard. I know I have brought bags in the past, they conducted a bag search then you were good. Worker was adamant I was wrong and argumentative...so my bag ended up in the trash. No smoking in park anymore and no beer/food guys working the stands. When asked, a very courteous employee explained they can't get anyone to work and had to make cuts. Camden Yards is one of my favorite places and I would rate perfect if it wasn't for high food and beverage costs.. just giving a heads up about new rules, cause no one warned me.
