    Statue to local hero
    The statue is very close to the World Peace Gong so it is worth a quick look if you are there. Obviously to Indonesians it has a lot of significance with Pattimura being an important freedom fighter in their history.

    Big statue
    We visited the statue in the morning of the 1st of January. Around the statue there was a lot of plastic and it needed a clean-up.
