Keraton Kesultanan Tidore, Maluku Islands, Indonesia

Act like a sultan

It's sultan tidore palace with indigenous architecture. A palace, royal cemetery, VIP port and mosque, all in this area (not in one place but close). Still well maintained even though the sultan not living here anymore. When you visit it and the gate is closed, just ask the keeper to open it.

    Eclipse Visit
The Sultan's palace was the location for our viewing of the 2016 solar eclipse. The Sultan hosted the event and laid on lunch for all (hundreds) along with dancers for entertainment. A splendid time was had by all of our party and the locals. The palace is in very good condition and contains the usual collections and photos a Sultan has, it is certainly worth a visit if you are in the area and it is open. The island of Tidore is quiet, tidy, and full of friendly people.
