Well maintained fort
From the fort you have a perfect view over the bay of Saparua. It is in a good shape, well maintained and it gives you a good impression of the life in the Dutch colonial time.

Well Maintained Fort With Great Views
A well maintained fort with great views out over the bay. Entrance is free, but be aware that you may be asked for a donation - especially if your visit coincides with that of the cruise ship! It's worth reading up on the history of the fort, and its connection to the Maluku and Indonesia hero Pattimura. There is a statue of Pattimura nearby at the end of the sports field.

The history of Pattimura against the Dutch
This fort was built by Portuguese before took over by Dutch. This is the witness of Indonesia Hero from Saparua who fight against Dutch and took over this fort. The condition of the fort was maintain enough and nice place to take picture. The view to the sea also nice.
