    We'll be Back!
Loads of trails for any level of skier. We had a great time, We arrived at about 12:30 and got a half day pass for $89 since it was available at noon; a full day would have been $109. The staff at check-in and throughout was very friendly. I got to the top of a few peaks; some weren't open because the lift wasn't operating. I assume because of conditions, but I certainly didn't feel like I missed out on anything. There were flat trails, moguls, woods skiing... lots of fun! There were very few people around on this Friday afternoon in early March. The conditions were a little slow and rutted, but there were lots of trails that were not. Night skiing was included in the half day pass. Tickets are quite a bit cheaper if you book ahead. The bar-restaurant was great. They had a lot of beers available and the fish tacos, fries, and quesadillas were excellent. I highly recommend the Allagash White. There hadn't been snow in three weeks, so I'll be back some day when there is fresh snow. It is really world class. The ski patrol guys are great too - in case you need them...

Variety of trails and good uphill capacity
Like all New England ski areas, insufficient natural snow plagues Sunday River. On our most recent trip over the MLK weekend, the plague was too many people. Everything was overrun, the trails, lodges, lift lines, parking lots. At South Peak the ground was covered by hundreds of skiis, poles and snow boards, due to insufficient rack space and poor management. Saturday night brought 8” of fresh snow resulting in bigger crowds on Sunday and Monday. After we took a day off from the slopes on Tuesday we returned on Wednesday and Thursday for two delightful days of skiing on generally well groomed trails off of the Barker, White Heat, White Caps, Spruce, Chondola, North Peak and Aurora trail systems. W So, we skied 5 out of six days during our stay as usual. Weekends are crowded everywhere when conditions are good.
