Awesome little Beach town

The "Pass", as locals refer to it, was created by a hurricane on September 27, 1848. A pirate, John Levique, made the first passage through the newly created pass. Hence the name, Johns Pass. Located on the waterfront at Johns Pass, this quaint turn-of-the-century fishing village is Pinellas County's #1 tourist attraction. Over one hundred merchants inhabit the Village with unique retail shopping, a variety of restaurants, the local fishing fleet, dolphin watching and shelling tours, boat rentals, parasailing and jet skiing.

    Fun outdoor mall
Visited while on vacation. Reminds me of Boardwalk type places in every tourist city. Lotsa of small touristy shops and restaurants along with places that offer wave runner rentals and various sunset cruises. While nothing that really makes it different, it was clean and friendly. Had places to get great shots of Pelicans just hanging out. People were friendly and it was very clean. You kind of know what you are in for when Bubba Gumps Is the big name restaurant, but it was a fun couple hours with some nice water shots and very friendly shop owners. It was pretty bustling on a weekday afternoon and people were being responsible using masks for the most part. Made for a fun distraction and a couple fun purchases.

Nice Change of Pace from Beach
We were staying at St. Pete’s Beach last week so this is like a 15 minute drive. We went there 2 times . We didn’t stay long just looked around. Had breakfast at a coffee place, got some sherbet and went twice to my favorite store Lorri’s Soap . It was nice to walk around both during the day and at night. I came early when they opened so I didn’t experience the crowd and then at night I came during the week so it wasn’t as crowded as I noticed driving by the weekends are. I would recommend visiting this place if in the area. Come for early morning shopping or a late dinner during week. Don’t forget to visit Lorri’s soaps . Smells so good in there!
