Nordhouse Dunes Wilderness, Michigan, United States
4.0 (17 reviews) Spent Ranking #15 in Ludington Nature & Wildlife Areas
Beautiful place
To get to the wilderness area you do go down a dirt road for about 6 miles and the parking lot is small but there is parking along the road as well. The hike to the beach is a bit long but so pretty and quiet. Once out to the lake the water is so many colors of blue and great for swimming.

Federal Wilderness
We have been going to Ludington for years, but just found this area. This area is part of the Huron-Manistee Forest. It can get very busy and with a small parking area it is best to get here early. Many hike in areas to camp. Beautiful dunes and trails
