Authentic Ranch experience offering stay-and-hunt packages on a working sheep farm
Conservation and Forestry Awards reflect the genuine stewardship of land and wildlife that you'll find on the Von Netzer Ranch. Known for their purebred Mouflon Sheep and Exotic Sheep (Black Hawaiian, Corsican, Texas Dall, Painted Desert), the ranch is also a true working sheep ranch with Royal White and Dorper Sheep. It also has limited numbers of Blackbuck Antelope as well as Whitetail and Axis Deer. The ranch only accepts limited bookings of small groups of hunters (1 or 2), with or without accompanying non-hunting guests. You'll stay in a separate suite adjoining the farmhouse and dine with your hosts Garet and Mardi. If you're like me, you'll like viewing dozens and dozens of animals each day and enjoy the depth of knowledge of your host when talking of flora, fauna and conservation practices best suited for this Texas hill-country ranch.
