#2 To BOURBON ST.
Royal Street runs perpendicular to Bourbon Street one block removed and is pretty much just as filled with interesting music, shops, parades, etc. I suggest to walk the whole street as well as all of the other streets in the French Quarter. I would avoid the month of February if you don't like swarms of people.

One of the best Streets in new Orleans
Royal Street is fantastic, its one of my favourite streets in New Orleans. It feels very up market with art galleries, fine hotels, boutiques, restaurants and bars. Worlds away from its brash neighbour in the next street (Bourbon St)
