    Saint Charles trolley is running!
    St Charles trolley line (number 12) is currently under repair in a short segment from Canal to Lee Circle. Number 12 bus will take you on same route to beyond Lee Circle where you will transfer to the trolley which runs to the end of the line. No need to purchase day passes ahead of time because they are sold cash only on trolley or bus. 80 cents for a senior all day pass is best bargain in town. We used Canal Street trolley as main transportation from riverfront to end of line 48 City Park and 47 cemetaries. 48 passes Winn Dixie and Rouse's grocery stores. Sadly Garden District shows wear from recent weather events but still beautiful.

    Free Walking Tours By Foot!
    We tried to schedule a walking tour the morning of the scheduled 1:30pm tour by the above company. It said it was full but sometimes you could join if they weren’t full, so we went to the designated meeting spot. No one was there so after a short wait we tried to find the cemetery since we knew from a u-tube video that they went there. We ended up finding the tour guide and he let us join the group so we had a good experience and he was very good. At the end, you pay by cash or venmo whatever you want. We learned that the tour began at 1pm so I recommend DO NOT BOOK ONLINE. Call several days ahead and wait for someone to call you back so you have the correct time. They charge about $3 each at registration for office costs but the guides only pay is what people give them. They do an excellent job.
