    Beautiful, serene experience
When visiting NOLA I always try and take a couple hours out to visit this beautiful landscaped park. There is a paved area surrounding the interior of the park with marked lanes for cyclist, joggers and walkers. There are many benches along the way where you can stop and take in the wildlife along the many ponds. The park is easily accessible from the St. Charles trolley which stops at Tulane and Loyola Campuses. A walk through the park will bring you to the zoo which in itself is worth the price of admission. I highly recommend this park if you are looking for a quiet moment from the NOLA activities.

    Great walk, lots to see!
Fabulous walk around this park today, right up to the river and back, around 5 miles in all including an ‘off piste’ to the golf club cafe for refreshments. Amazing Spanish Oaks everywhere, and the walk alongside the Mississippi was amazing with wildlife including lizards, herons, huge butterflies and dragonflies the size of pigeons. Thought I saw an alligator but was told it was a piece of driftwood. Still not convinced. A great few hours, but take plenty of water, it was 32 degrees and there’s not a lot of shade!
