Breathtaking Views
Such a beautiful place to view Chattanooga from Lookout Mountain! Parking is free, but the lot has limited spots (about 8 spots). You enter through a gate and follow the stone pathway to Sunset Rock- about 15 min walk. One of the best stops during our trip!

Great hike and stunning views
We hiked the Bluff Trail from Craven's House to Sunset Point- not easy, but not hard, and it was about 2 hours at a leisurely pace. After reading reviews and our own experience, this is the way to go if you don't want to deal with parking issues. However, it does get crowded at sunset, so plan accordingly. We didn't stay to hang out, but we did get pics and took it all in for a few minutes. If you don't care about sunset pics or the hike, this a great area for the stunning views!

Shaded, moderate hike
We really enjoyed this hike because the majority of it was in the shade which was a welcome break on an extremely hot day. Please note that almost the entire hike is very rocky, so you spend a lot of time looking down so as not to trip. Also wanted to note that as Summer is in full force, the view is obscured by the trees once you get up to Sunset rock, but there are a few places you can look around to see the beautiful view. I bet it would be a fantastic hike in the winter.
