    Easy to navigate
Easy to navigate. Coming from a city with only 2 lines, it amazed us how massive this train system was. And it is very tourist friendly - they announce at each stop what is close by in case you need to get off. We found our way around London no problem. There was even a time we swapped trains 3 times to get where we wanted to go and had no issues. The trains came often. We considered trying to go to the airport using the train system but with our suitcases and carry on we decided to take a taxi instead as it was just so much more convenient. Though we saw quite a few elevators one can use and folks with suitcases. Cheaper than taking Uber or a cab for sure. And it was easy to use with the contactless (tap to pay) or GooglePay. Note that you can only use one card per person - you cannot share a credit card and pay for 2 people on it. My mom's card wasn't working so I used my card and my GooglePay to pay for hers.

    Easy to use
We spent 5 days in central London beside Waterloo underground. Each day we took the underground to the attraction we planned to visit and then to other attractions later. Mostly we travelled within Zone 1 and on one day into zone 2. On the last day we got the tube the whole way to Heathrow terminal 5 using the Piccadilly line. Took around 1 hour. My wife and I used separate contactless bank cards to tap into and out of the stations. In total it cost each of us £21 to travel for 5 days. This includes £5 each to travel Waterloo-Leicester Square (Northern line) then Piccadilly line to Heathrow Terminal 5 on our departure. 8 year old child travelled free with me all week. The only downside was the worry about the scheduled rail workers strikes, however, in the end the strikes did not directly affect our travels.
