    Garden tour not worth it!
We booked a tour of the State Rooms and Gardens at the palace. I would thoroughly recommend the State Rooms they were fantastic but do not bother booking the garden tour total waste of money as you can walk through the gardens on the opposite side for free and get a better view of the lake. The borders were in dire need of replanting and looked shabby I have seen much better gardens locally and honestly could not believe my eyes that this was the palace garden! The food in the tea room was lovely and good quality.

Good to see inside the palace
Would have rated it 5 stars except for the queuing to get in. The day we visited it was torrential rain and the Queue took 40-45 mins to get in. They should have some sort of canopy to keep visitors dry or to provide shade for when it is sunny. The tour itself was very busy and self guided with a guide box and headphones which was excellent. The staff could have smiled a bit, they did not look that excited to be there (bored) Would recommend tour.
