Venlo
We would love to welcome you at the shopping centre of Venlo! The inner-city still has the old structure of the medieval streets. Small streets connecting public squares. Be pleasantly surprised!

Venlo: Festina Lente!
Venlo is a city with a beautiful cityhall in the middle of town. The majority of the centre is for pedestrians only. The city is situated near the German border. On Wednesdays and Saturdays there is a market. Venlo has many big shops ( like a Primark!) and many smaller eccentric ones ( like the English shop at the Grote Kerkstraat). There is a whole new shopping area built along the river Maas where you see the boats and yachts go by. There are more than enough places to snack and eat, so Venlo will be a nice experience for a day out!

Very nice despite being quite crowded with tourists during the summer months.
My wife and I visited Venlo when we stayed in Germany for several weeks last summer. The drive from Essen to Holland is easy going and pleasant. Once in Venlo, don't waste your time looking for a parking space. Just head straight for the underground parking in the centre. It's easy to find and won't break the bank. You can also park on the large market square if you like. It's directly above the underground parking in the centre. The Town Hall is well worth seeing and there are plenty of places to eat to suit all pockets. There are also plenty of shops in what is effectively a pedestrian town centre. We spent a pleasant couple of hours there.
