Different - still beautifull!
In Heerlen this year I found something interesting open air art - graffiti if you like taken to the next level - paintings in various places of the city - building walls,under road bridges, divers places in the end. For sure there is split opinion - I call it art and I think it is a nice initiative and yes I consider that it add's to the vibe of the city. Some of the works- pity I did not catch more pics, are several 10th of square meter big some are smaller. From my perspective this project is viable in other cities and I would rather see these works on the walls than peeled plaster and grey/mossy walls. Those of you who are into arts I recon you will like it even more. So my recommendation when you go to Heerlen - walk with both eyes open - art is in town and can be found in the most unexpected place. Enjoy.

New age Heerlen...
I know heerlen now for more than 1 year. the city is full of nice street art! that make the city really uncommon and interesting. all big street have at least, 1 or 2 sometime more street art paintings. That colorize the autumn dark days here ^^
