Beautiful church with a Baroque interior
This church is very special, painted white, with a Baroque interior. Lovely altar with large marble sculptures. There is also a little museum. In de basement you can see mummies of priests. The well known Dutch architect Pierre Cuypers has done the restauration of this church wich was first a convent for noble ladies and later an abbey. Now it is still used as a church. Entrance fee is € 3,00. Museumcard (only in Holland available) free entrance.

So beautiful, must visit
I’ve been living around the area my whole live and never went in since you have to pay for the church (€3,50) and we never wanted to do that. But my curiosity got the better hand of me this time. And I’m very glad it did. Never seen such a pretty church. I send a bunch of pictures to my family and they were amazed with how beautiful it was. You can explore pretty much the whole church and there is a movie in Dutch playing that explains the history. Some of the signs in we’re translated to English but not all of them. But definitely worth it if you want to explore a beautiful church.

A historical place in the town
We visited this church during my visit to Thorn. The church is historical as well as nice regarding the interior. The information about the church can be obtained from the tourist information center (called VVV) or from the church itself. When we went there, we got the the leaflet for free from VVV while we found others getting it from the church should pay a small amount of money. The leaflet provides the information about the history of each part of the church. This place is a must visit attraction in Thorn.
