Hoensbroek Castle is one of the largest and most beautiful castles in the Netherlands. The oldest section of the castle structure dates from 1250. The 40 different beautiful halls and rooms in the castle will take you on a fantastic journey through time. Lovely castle
The castle of Hoensbroek is located in the South of the provence of Limburg. The most southern part of Holland. The castle dates from the middle ages and is fully renovated. We visited many times when we stayed in the neighbourhood or for a daytrip. At the courtyard there are lots of old games you can play, not only fun for children! We also visited one time when there where sandsculptures, very very nice. A must see, especially when you have children.

Nice surprises
Very beautiful Dutch structure and worth the visit. There are all kinds of surprises inside and the history is explained in detail. If you manage to go to the top of one of the towers, you will get a nice view of Hoensbroek and surroundings. The entrance fee of 12,95 euro seemed a lot at first but we think it's worth it.
