Impressive cave!
We can really recommend a visit to this cave. We did the guided tour on foot, so you had enough time to photograph the interesting parts of the cave. Our guide took extra time for the tour and was able to give a lot of background knowledge as he had grown up very close by. However, all explanations were given only in Dutch.

Interesting, fun and learning
Great experience visiting 'de Gemeentegrot'. You can choose to do the visit on foot or by some sort of train. My son wanted to walk and it turned out only 3 other people went for the same option. So we almost had a private guided tour, and honestly the guide did a great job telling about the different roles, the history, and much more. Even dinosaurs were included - very much appreciated by my son. Simply said, great experience and worth visiting again in the future.

Tour was rushed
We did not have opportunities to take proper photos as the train was moving or opportunities to ask questions about the caves. We were on the train the whole time and was driven all around by the tour guide who gave her commentary in Dutch (which I did not understand). I asked the lady selling the tickets if there were tours in English but she was quite abrupt with her response when she said it was in Dutch so I have no clue if there are English tours. Our tour was the last one for the day and it definitely felt hurried and rushed. Pity as the caves looker very interesting and they had a story to tell.
