Emotional experience for young & old
We visit the American Cemetery roughly 4x per year. We also adopted a grave of one of the Hero's resting here. May 4th and 5th are the days with the most visitors during Remembrance day, and Liberation day, but the cemetary is open every day, and kept very clean and tidy by the staff working here. Please bring your children, and teach them what happened. Bring your friends and tourists so they can learn and understand what these brave men and women gave for our freedom. We may never forget.

Very moving tribute to the 8,000 people from the US who died liberating the Dutch people.
We were there on May 4th, a day of remembrance for the Dutch people. It was so touching to see how many Dutch people were there placing flowers on the American soldiers' graves. Many of these good Dutch people had "adopted" a dead American many years ago, and would travel from all over the Netherlands to honor the American dead once or twice a year. This was very moving, and a fantastic tribute to the men and women from all over the US who are buried in this hallowed ground.
