    Impressive
We had tickets for Pachacamac and drove for an hour and a half to be told they were closed so our tour guide took us to Huaca Pucllana instead, and it was great. It is a self tour so you can go at your own pace through the city built of bricks. It's really mind boggling that they could make these buildings out of stacked bricks that would stand the test of time. It is amazing to see it surrounded by the modern city. After the visit there is a wonderful pastry shop with cold drinks just outside the entrance.

Amazing Ruins in the Heart of Lima!
These pre-Inca ruins are amazing and are only partially excavated. Made up of millions of tiny adobe bricks the pyramid rises three stories high. The museum is very basic though and the the tour guide that we had was hard to hear and seemed to be rushing as though she wanted to go home for the day.
