Interesting history
We went on a Tuesday out of the blue and enjoyed the visit. Lots of history a d beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean. Adult tickets are about $3 and Nicole’s (tour guide) fee was approximately $8. She was great. It took about and hour or so to visit the three separate buildings and show us around. This is what the called, the last bastion of the Spanish in Peru. Stairs are steep with no hand rails.

Callao Fort
The fort was well preserved with good artifacts. I asked for a bilingual guide but was told it was only in Spanish. Unfortunately I couldn't understand more than half of the information on the guided tour so I was puzzled more often than not. It was an inexpensive way to see a historical site.

Nice Museum
Nice afternoon activity. A lot of history about defending Peru and their feight for liberty. Enjoyed the fortress but unfortunately the last tour has no english speaking guide. Also all signs are in Spanish.
