We attended mass here and loved it

Oh please come see this beautiful church. After mass, they open the church for tours. It is just spectacular, and people on our Facebooks kept commenting on how spectacular the side chapels are here. The side chapels have doors I'd estimate 30 feet tall and there were 12-14 of them.

    Beautiful cathedral very well preserved
Imposing building, with a quite particular style, generally full of birds around it, which give it a rather peculiar impression. From there you can hire tourist guides that will give you a gastronomic and tourist tour of the center of Lima and even a little more depending on the contracted service. Around the square there are many places to visit and buy souvenirs.

A must see at the Plaza de Armas
You'll want to take a taxi to see the Plaza de Armas (Plaza Mayor) to visit the Cathedral of Lima. The interior is spectacular, with over a dozen chapels in diverse styles, each seeming to try to be more over-the-top than the others. There is a small museum of religious artifacts included in the admission. You may or may not enjoy the opportunity to see the catacombs. There is an option to purchase a combination ticket for the Cathedral and the Archbishop's Palace next door. I would not recommend that, as the latter was disappointing.
