Nice place but overrated. It is a central square in Dalian with a lot going on around the place. Good to see once.

The perfect place for an evening beer
Relaxing seaside park to enjoy a beer and grilled squids in summer at the Hopscotch bar, refreshed by the sea breeze.

Romatic place
In general, Dalian is a romantic place. XInghai park is one of Dalian attractions, it's beautiful, peaceful and clean (as long as not a holiday). I like going there for walking and sometimes jogging. It's also very good for meeting with friends who are looking for fun.
