Good place to see an alligator
This place is big enough to take a long walk, although it could use some maps in various spots to prevent one from getting lost. Some trails go through brush but the most interesting is the boardwalk that goes around a huge pond. In the pond, you can see turtles, fish and alligators. (I saw two alligators on my recent trip to this park.) One thing that detracts from the experience is the presence of power lines that tower above the trees.

A frequent birding/walking/cycling destination for us
This is always a rewarding place to pack a coffee for a stop at the bench or picnic table. Many different birds, especially water birds abound and the pond has fish, turtles and a gater. The plaques throughout the park are old and very hard to read - check the one by the entrance for best information.
